Improvement?

From this....

 Improvement?

I think so...

Post-Graduation Graphic

Hello, people of this blog that may or may not know me.
I, like many others, was once apart of this league of extraordinary graphic artists on this blog and showcased my work for all to see. My only outlet of placing my work was here and kngraphics.blogspot.com(my graphics blog-you can still visit, but I don't.). Now, you can follow me on instagram at Kasey_Smiles where I post my real art and some real life pictures. But, I'm here to show you what I was able to do just picking up from where I left off...

Curvy girls are where it's at.

But here are some body graphics I've done with the sketches on top of them. The paler skinned model was my first in almost eight months, but the tanned model was done two weeks after the pale skinned one. Both were sketches I had made in photoshop before I quit doing graphics.

But anyways, I'm tired of stardoll. I only come one here in
between filling out job applications so when I get one, this will stop:)

A New Focus

I've worked a lot on my real art these past few weeks and I think the small break has allowed my mind to open up more to new ideas and concepts when it comes to my graphics. I'm working a lot on portfolio(not stardoll-art) stuff and, when the time comes, I'll be applying to colleges and etc.
But, right now, I'm just living.

Here is a "cut-out" from my line. (that's so punny;))

A few days ago I noticed the whole knee-thing going on between Lindsey and Jack and it made me think,"How good can I do knees?"
Well, here they are!
I love the legs and you can tell they are the focus in this graphics. I also love the shoes and hair because they're kinda out of the box for me.
The model is the gorgeous Froggy_Kannibal!
I love her doll so much.
I wish she applied to my line;D(*wink, wink)

Again-this was cut from my line so that means I think the design and execution is crap
No need to tell me what I already know!

So...thanks!
Comment and give me your opinion!

Cara Say Whaaaaa...?

Okay, I was kidding.
THIS will be the last photo for a while.

This was originally a photo starring both Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora, but I cut Ora out and edited the back so it's bare. I really like the face and makeup because it's really simple.
I mainly picked this reference because in my real life drawings, I'm working on emotions, facial expressions, and dramatic features. Obviously, this is a combo of dramatic features and facial expressions. I really loved the lips(how shifty they are) and the eyes(how exaggerated they seem).
The hair was an after-thought because my main focus was the face. I think it's okay, but not as good as it could be.

Just Waiting...

First personal graphic in a while...

Model: Mangunmeetan
I like it, but I also am not so sure. I'm trying to make my shading more minimalistic, but still accurate. I don't like the sweater, but from afar, it doesn't look so bad. Most of the time spent on the graphic was with the hair and legs, and I believe they turned out the best. I also like how I shaded Mangunmeetan's face. I used a pair of lips I made previously because I felt they worked better than the one's I edited before. Mainly because it looks like a slight smirk and that's the look I was going for with this.

Last graphic for a while...

Mode Magazine!

Sevillana94, Goodgal7, and I are collaborating to form a new magazine called Mode Magazine!
Check out the spoiler!

I really love the shading, and the lips are so bold. They go very well with the dress.

Right now we're looking for writers and models so go apply
and you may see yourself gracing the pages of this new magazine.
Just click the image to go to the site and apply under Write/ Model for Mode.
 Thanks!

The Show Must Go On!

Obsessed with Queen<3
Lana Del Rey's got nothing on Freddie Mercury....

BUT, I do have to admit that she does great poses and that it why I used
an image of her for the reference in this graphic I made.

The beautiful model in this graphic is Lindsey Le'Vogue!

I really love this graphic mainly because it's the first time I've done lace(the shorts) and all the details that come with it. I also have two small tattoos on her. A heart on the bottom of the hand and an infinity symbol inside her left foot(which hurts like HELL to get). I love the color of the sweater, and it's pretty good, but I know I can do better.
I like the hair because it's a bit out of my zone. I went darker in the shading and I believe it worked for me. I love the messy style in the graphic. It kinda looks like she just hopped out of bed and is sitting on the couch just watching the sun rise. It also corresponds with the direction of sunlight from the window.

Well, that's that... Please comment and give me your opinion!
 Thanks!

Oh, I Believe... in Yesterday...

I'm currently obsessing with Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Queen, The Lumineers, One Republic, Shinedown, Family of the Year, and Walk Off the Earth.
If you can recommend any good songs from those(besides the obvious ones) please let me know!

this is a scrapped dress from the Hysteria...bet you didn't know that, huh?
<3 those knees:)

One another note, I'm very excited for tomorrow because my line is being released in the middle of the day's activities! Please give me your feedback on the designs! The graphics(well, some of them) aren't very good, but I really like the designs...which is what the line is about. The designs.
Euphoria was beautiful! I absolutely loved the color pallet. It made me wanna hop online and try on the clothes! Not a big fan of dioguardi because I, for one, prefer curvier models and two, just wasn't feeling the designs. However, I really loved the details on some of the clothing towards the end. It looked like a lot of thought went into the designs! So...awesome! X was...well, X. It's got high expectations, and I think those were met with the mini issue. I was expecting a full issue, but I'm very happy to even see another! Many magazines now-a-days don't put out more than one or two issues. The stardesign collection, VIBE, was nice, but I couldn't really see the design on the clothes because of the effect of the "advertisement". However, I went and saw the line for myself and I absolutely ADORE the pants! Sooo, cute!

Remember to comment and give me your opinion on the graphic!
Thanks!

I'm feeling Aqua...Yep...That's Aqua...

 Does anyone remember this graphic?

If you don't, do not fret. You can see it again. Riiiight up there... This graphic was for the banner for Khol's The Stardoll Closet.
The blog was shut down a while ago, but today I was going through my old graphics(our Satellite TV went out and I was bored) and saw this one. I remembered how much I liked the reference image so I decided to go for it and here it is!

Watermarked because of recent graphic theft>:|

I think without the distraction of television, I was able to concentrate 100% on it.
The background is absolutely HORRIBLE! I hate it so much.
However, I love everything else, so that background doesn't really matter.
The model is the old version of Lovealwaystiara. I originally was going to use her doll in my line, Hysteria, but decided not to after designing the rest of the clothes.
This is making it up to her for not using her doll.

I made this graphic in about three hours and used a part of jack's technique(not using white) for most of it. I think that REALLY helped and I appreciate him posting those tips! So thank you, Jack!:D

I would really love it if you guys can point out some improvements and comments about the graphics. I'd also like to point out to those who ask about my technique to check out my blog, KNgraphics.blogspot.com, for tips and techniques that I use or have used. I'm trying to keep the page close to how I do them, but discreet enough that if you want to use that technique, you learn to do it in your own style. I think it's important for a GD to find their own style instead of copying someone else's. That way it's like an ID...people can point out your graphics out from everyone else.

Thanks for reading that enormous post!

Haul!

So many of you know that I was in the final three for SDNTGD season three.
Unfortunately, I had some problems with my hand and wrist and was forced to drop out.
However, I did have all my reference image set, my colors picked, and was beginning the graphics.
After the competition ended and jack had gone off with his prize, I started to work on the graphic again. I finished the magazine cover during the final week of my recovery, but I never got around to finished my Last Friday Night graphic.

Here is how far I got.
There were four more characters in the graphic, including two medoll look alikes.

This is the graphic for the cover. I really love the arms and the white of the jacket.

This is the magazine itself. Kiss Magazine.

And then I did a request about two days ago for Lindsay1323.
I thought I liked the hair, but I actually don't. It looked nice when I did it, but now it looks messy...and I don't like it.

Remember the Foot?

Exactly what I asked. Do you remember my beautiful foot? I do, and I'm many do too.
I originally made it for a blog I was going to open, but I decided against it until I felt the time was right.
I'll make a new graphic for it because I just can't wait to show you this beauty.

The model is me...of course since it was my blog!

See the foot down there...That's the foot.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the hair, but my sister said it looks nice so I'm not gonna argue with anyone about it:)

Basically, I love this graphic.
It's my absolute favorite to date and that's saying something because I've been working on a lot of different and new things. I just love love love it!

12.6.13

Skele-Khol

Once a luscious blonde socialite turned hideous monster,Khol had the world at her finger tips. Hitting the cover of every major magazine in Dollywood, she was at the top of her game.
That was until she took a fateful step into the world of realty.
The lot of land was one of magnificent beauty. Rolling acres of green meadows and a large marble mansion atop a hill surrounded by clumps of blooming apple trees.
After being shown the entire property, Khol placed bid on the house and in return for being the only one to offer for it, she gets the house. Within the week of moving in, she leaves with no explanation and the house is put back on the market.
Digging deeper into the past of the area, it turns out that the house is placed on an ancient Native American burial site. Those who stepped onto the land were cursed and forever doomed to remember where they stepped. Thus, the whole left of her face was transformed into a hideous skull in memorial of the dead who lay. This blonde bombshell ended up doing a "high fashion" editorial for Vogue Magazine and then going into hiding to live out the rest of her life as the girl nicknamed Skele-khol.

Now about the graphic.
I originally had short blonde hair on her, but changed it in favor of going more toward that "editorial" feel and stay bald. To me, high fashion is weird, so that's where I came from with the idea. The skull was actually really easy to do because of the anatomy class I took last year. The color came from a random real skull picture I found online.I didn't use a reference picture for it. I used the fur again because I didn't feel like doing anything major while I'm sniffling and coughing through life at the moment.
So yeah... I just went really basic with it and did a partial skull and blended the color into her face. Then I did the facial shading to match the skull's, very sharp and structured.
And that's about it.
It turned out nicer than I thought!:)

Bloody Insane!

She's gone crazy....

Insane Aislin sports a vintage dyed fur coat and genuine pearl earrings.

Basically, she went crazy after inhaling a poisonous gas on an island and after going home, the voices in her head began to encourage her to scar up her face, eventually leading up to her ripping her mouth open on the night of her date with her boyfriend. He comes over to find her like this and ends up getting blown up on by her. She get's defensive and the voices get louder and louder until they're screaming in her head.
All while she's got a nice smile on her face...

The insane woman is Aislin.

In one of my previous graphics, I was working on her things and I basically tried the same here. I tried to do fur a different way, a more realistic way. I also tried the whole scar thing on a medoll because no one has yet. I think I've seen the whole sewn mouth thing, but I'm not sure. I don't think anyone has done it to this degree. I put slight bags under her eye, but they're very small.

I think I'm starting to like the realistic idea with stardoll graphics more now when I put a story with it. I think I'll try to do a realistic hairstyle next time.

Enjoy!

What Was Hsyteria RTW...

love the hands!
This is my favorite graphic of the whole line!

This was the first spoiler for the line.
second oldest design
This is my favorite outfit from the line.
newest design
This is the outfit from the spoiler.
oldest design
This is the outfit featured on that graphic a few months back.

My new concept is a lot more well thought out. I appreciate it much more. In the new line, I'll be using some of these concepts and some older ones. This line was inspired by housewives throughout the decades. They are the rock that holds the family together and I tried to convey that throughout the designs. I'm not gonna give you all the ones I finished, but here are the few I will reveal of the old line.

My favorite models for the line were Kim and Elle. They had great features that really worked with the makeup style.

Finally:D

Blogger was messed up majorly for a while and during that time, I had an epiphany!
I have scratched the whole line from hysteria!
Now, instead of
Ladies in White
It's
Native Mother
A Native American inspired line with a hard metal(literally) fusion.

Check out the line at hysteriafashion.blogspot.com.
I'm currently looking for models for my couture line coming this winter, so don't hesitate to sign up!

Anyways...I was working on something different.
I'm getting into digital design because I feel like Stardoll is really limiting my abilities.
Here is one of the few pieces I've still working on.

Crazy lady holding my face from behind as she antagonizes me...
She needs a manicure!

I had a mind freak when I did it.
The basic idea around it is that she's a doll, of course, who was kidnapped and right now, a woman named Mon(not gonna tell you her real name), is interrogating her. Apparently, the kidnapped woman(me,hehe) was sleeping with her ex-boyfriend(the kidnapped lady's current boyfriend) and I guess the crazy lady doesn't like that fact he moved on...
Oh well...Hope I live!

Onto the actual graphic. I find the bags under the eye a little weird and the hair was a last minute thing, but I ended up kinda liking the crazed look. Her nails were inspired by those gross zombies ones on The Walking Dead. The duct tape is a little crappy, but it's my first time drawing actual duct tape(it's not just a color)

My favorite part of this whole graphic is the eyes. They are the exact color as mine when I cry. They get super bright green with red blood vessels in my eye.

I'm thinking of continuing with the graphic story, but I'll probably start with the beginning and post it on my graphic blog. I think it'll be fun. Coming up with new stories and exploring my creativity through insane scenarios...Fun:)

Super Simple Summer....Graphic....

I haven't really posted in a while and that, my darlings, is because I'm working on my line.
Hysteria.
Though many of you know this.

Anyways, I got bored with the organizing and designing that I decided to do a super simple summer graphics.

I particularly LOVE the left hand and mid-section. The hair is defo not my favorite and neither is the jacket. I honestly don't like the jacket at all. Only because I despise the color white on outerwear.

This took about three hours to make, with a ten minute break.
I think that's pretty good timing!

A Super Sneaky Peek

Hello everyone! Summer is four days away and with nothing left to do, my days have been filled with beautiful graphics!

This is a foot.
It's for a blog-remodel I'm working on and the final product looks pretty good:)

Enjoy those toes.

KNGraphics.blogspot.com Re-vamp

It is almost summer time and the fact I can move my hand more now is even better news! I decided to change up the blog and show off my apparently better skills at graphics(many have told me when I make graphics wearing the brace, they are really good:P) in a brand new header!

So yeah, here is the graphic in the header
I honestly love it.

Tell me what you think.
Check out the blog makeover at

Finger Movement!

Haha, no longer poking the keyboard:)

I can finally move parts of my index and middle finger after the first week of physical therapy! It hurts, but feels great to finally hold(as much as I could of) a pencil/pen.
Because it's my right hand, I've been limited to doing book work(orally) in art and other classes, but now I can continue working on my portfolio for college(kinda:D)!:D

I am so amazingly super happy and I attempted doing a graphic today because of it! It's a little sloppy, but you understand why. I feel it's one of my finer pieces just because I really persevered to get it done and tried to do the best I could. Although, now I'm hopped up on pain meds and am resting in bed, I feel that it's worth it to have this ability again.

This graphic is dedicated to everyone who's been so supportive of me and given best wishes to get better.
Thank you!

The face was already edited from my fashion line and the earrings were from a previous graphic.
The hair is also from my line, as is the model:
...singstar...
