I told you so...

I was going to do some graphics. So I practiced and practiced and practiced. The months of inactivity really had a visible effect. Here is one of the attempts:

Surprise!

Look what I found in the backs of my computer. It's a graphic of Lupita Nyong'o, which was the last one that I finished back then in January. (January, wow.) The reason why I created this graphic was because I adored and still adore her dress from the Oscars. I stand corrected it were the Golden Globes. Do you remember it? Unforgettable... It turns out that the dress is the only part of the graphic that I really like. Her face isn't very close to reality, still I don't think it's too bad.
Anyways, just wanted to let you know that I am still there and planning on doing some more graphics soon. Therefore I need some models. Comment with your username if you are interested.

I know I haven't post for ages... that's just because I am busy with Strut. (btw, you can still apply as model. the bodies are still missing some faces!)
anyways, i just went through the finished ones - okay, they are not really finished, I wasn't turning to fine-tuning yet... so there are still some scruffy edges - and this one will not make it into the issue. But I just like it too much in order to let it go to waste... so here it is for you. Hope you like it as well :3

Not satisfied...

Took a little break from making graphics. Basically didn't create any since the end of SNTGD (oh wow, already 1 month ago). At first I thought this one is going to be good, but now I am just like... nope. I really like the face, but that's it about the graphic. Really need to step up my game again!

Look what I've found

Just been going through my older graphics and I found some that I made for a magazine that will never be published (at least the blog doesn't exist anymore...)!
But I guess they shouldn't be wasted since I spend blood, sweat and tears on them and I was so proud of my work... 6 month ago. haha. Today I just looked at them and thought about the improvement I made within these 6 month.

Anyways, I give you the permission to laugh! :D

..but I finally found the time to do a graphic just for fun. The model is Bonnie Strange - probably the only real "It-girl" Germany has! Anyway, I love her and I loved that shooting. Hope you like it too! :-)

I am a quitter!

Just wanted to wave my last goodbye on here as well. I left Stardoll a few weeks ago, but then I stumbled over the (very) few finished pages for Strut Magazine. I left open the question if I am going to finish it completly and here's the answer: no! Still I wanted to share the pages with you. Unfortunatly it turned out that the covergirl was very unreliable, since I didn't get at least one answer for the interview. Oh well, her bad... no graphics with her! Anyways, I hope you like them and maybe you'll hear from me from time to time. But for now: byebye x

Just released the first spoiler for Strut Magazine! How do you like it? I am pretty satisfied with the outcome though I had a hard time drawing the eyes without making them look creepy. Oh, and btw: I am still looking for models! ;)

Now I need some good advice.

I've been weighing the pros and cons again and yet again... and I couldn't come to a decision.
I am thinking about making my very own magazine. One part of me says: "Oh no, not another magazine". I feel like they sprang up like mushrooms lately. But on the other hand, I am sick of making useless graphics - all in vain. I've always been wanting to create something with them and to be honest: I've been pretty dissatisfied with the latest magazines... but I have self doubts. Would I be able to create something that draw and delight readers? Wouldn't it be better to look for a job as a graphic designer for another magazine? But why should I make work and then let someone else get the main credit? Oh my, it's a dilemma in my head. If you have a opinion about it feel free to tell me. Maybe it will help me with my decision making process.

A Sleepless Night

There is just too much going on in my head, so I cannot fall asleep and I am not tired at all at the same time. At least it has been a productive night - and now my eyes are a little sleepier, but not enough. I guess I will just spend my time again watching the Gossip Girl seasons 1-3 for the nth time. One would image that I could recite it, but still I cannot get enough of it. I blame it on Ed Westick, haha! Okay, enough talking. Here's the graphic I made. Hope you like it :-)
