Before I start, I would like to say a big THANKYOU to all the writers here on this blog, you are the reason for TGV successes.  I wont close this blog down, but I also don't want to hire another person to help me just yet in case they cause unforeseen problems like the last time.

A Little Design

The top half of the dress is a J.Mendel dress and then I added a dark skirt but injected some colour. I'd probably buy this on Stardoll if it was released as LE (if it was better graphics lol) but it only took about 20-30 minutes so I'm not bothered.

Thoughts?

Where I Stand

 I'm writing this post on this specific blog because it relates to graphics and my projects.

Alot of my projects have been on and off recently, and I feel as though I just want to start off fresh. I will obviously keep Today's Top Trends and Stardoll's Next Top Graphic Designer as my sole projects, but I've always wanted either a fashion line or magazine to keep me going, as SNTGD & TTT do not take overly much work. I've been planing a few things with TTT (makeover, a HUGE summer competition + some new writers) and SNTGD is just getting into it's second season.

Fearless & Loud are too projects I think that have had their day. They've been good, but it's time to move on now. Loud was established in August 2010, so it's had it's day, and although it had only 4 issues, I'm happy. Fearless had it's collections in TTT FW 2012, and maybe I'll make another collection but I'm calling it a day with both these projects.

The blogs do however have around 200 followers between them, so it would be ashame for them to go nowhere.

Maybe I'll do LE PROJECT, maybe I wont. ;-)

And expect a new announcement from me soon!

LE PROJECT SPOILER

Kinda like this. :-)
So, I tried to make this graphic look sort of Stardoll styled graphics with really simple body shading, and I quite like how it turned out. As you can see, the collection coming soon will be LE classics, which I am half way through to completion now. I also like the slight ombre effect I did on the hair. :P

I know it's no masterpiece or anything, but I think it's nice... What do you think?

A Cover of Sorts...

Okay so I got really bored and I decided to work with that hair I made a while ago. This is the result, it won't be used for anything, it's totally nothing special. Infact it's pretty crap. To be honest I only used Stardoll clothes because I knew it was for nothing and couldn't be bothered, ehe I'm lazy.

The magazine name is Eternity, becasue I was looking at past issues of the magazines earlier.. Shock of the century... *badummmm chhhh*

I AM AWARE it has hardly any shading or whatever, I just saw no point in shading it well if it had no purpose. The only thing I sort of like is the text, other than that it's a mess.

Gaw I'm so negative.
 
I'm working on the LE project now which is going somewhat okay, hit me up with all yo' criticisms...

Hair Practice

Nothing special, just working on some hair. I don't know if I like it, the gap looks odd between the shoulder and hair but meh it's only the hair I was working on. Excuse the body lol, it's a random outfit from the last Flora collection I had on my computer to stick the head onto. I'll work on this graphic a bit more and show you later, hopefully it'll look half decent then haha.


It sucks I know haha, but practice makes perfect I guess.

Hi, I'm Kimberly. You might know me I guess. I make graphics, which not many people know about actually, hehe. I'm on a slight break from Stardoll so don't expect too many graphics from me, but I will get back into the swing of things in July. :-)

Moving on, these are two sneak peaks from a graphic I just finished. It's for my magazine Loud and may be slightly blurry, apologies if they are! I'll probably make a random graphic sometime this week so I can show you a full one! Comments and critiques welcome. ;) xo

P.S: I tried to be jazzy with the two tone fade parts on the dress... Whadya'll think?!

Task 3 SNTGD Entry

Yeah, yeah. Another post regarding stardoll's latest graphic design contest, Stardoll's Next Top Graphic Designer. This time, we were assigned to make a summery banner for TTT. I doubted I'd win this task, since I wasn't much of a fan of it... but you know what? The judges loved it. I was incredibly astounded-- regarding the fact that I wasn't pleased with my entry. Nevermind that, I'll reveal it to you anyways :)

Magazines you should read: April 2012

VOGUE magazine:
Bright, edgy and on trend, which resembles the real life Vogue and all it's glory. The graphics are breathtaking and look professional and are the main focus of the magazine. There is not much writing in the magazine, but the graphics make up for that.

Splendid Magazine:

Fierce and funky with a spring theme! This magazine ticks all the boxes for trends and what to wear in the spring. The graphics here are also phenomenal as you can tell a lot of time has been spend on them.                                                                                FOUNDERS: mvm2807 and Gayula

PBE magazine:

This magazine is not in English, so I can't really comment on the writing. The outfits that have been put together are street style and look like something I would want to wear out. It has great tips on outfits and styling, and it also includes suite and furniture suggestions. The magazine does not lack in quantity as it consists of 39 pages! The magazine itself if bright and funky and the graphics are beautiful!                                                         Founder: KatyaCharm

This magazine consists of previous unreleased issues put together to make 1 magazine. It's bright and looks professional, which makes it stand out from the crowd. The graphics are amazingly detailed! Although the magazine is short, it relies on 'quality, not quantity' and pulls it off by a long shot!                                                                          Founder: xxlovexx
