Summer Time Happiness!

Summer, boy, don't you love Summer? I'm overly excited about this summer, maybe due to the fact I've just completed all my years of High School or the fact I have so many bubbling ideas for upcoming projects, both in my personal and Stardoll life. For example, in a matter of days the World Cup begins. Frankly, I'm not excited about a munch of guys kicking a ball around. In a way, it's a huge festival for countries around the world to come together and have fun. I decided to join the "fun" and recreate designs inspired by the countries that are taking part in the festivities. 

I didn't want to take the literal approach and create 2D garments with matching colours. That's boring. So I decided to take their angles and shapes and create a stunning look from that. Take the look to the left for example. It's Brazil. At first glance you wouldn't have known because of the colours. At the waist, it has half the Brazilian flag decked out in diamonds and sparkles. 

I really hope you like this idea as I'll most likely be posting 2 a week throughout the course of the tournament. I will also keep you updating in coming projects.

Hi everyone, I've been posting quite frequently lately so I'm going to cut down. Next time I post, the little collection I'm working on will be completed for you all to see, okay? Clearly a lot of you didn't like my previous look, but I would like to know why, and offer constructive criticism to help me develop creatively. 

Originally, this silhouette was completely white; very clean; very modern, but it wouldn't keep in theme with the rest of the collection, unless I offer a lot more minimal looks. As my reference is graphic artiest, lets not interrupt my influences with garments that have no story like the artist's work.  

So, let me know what you think of this look. I know it's a little slutty, but hey, what's street corners without sluts?

Over the summer I thought of this concept back on the graphic artiest, Malika Favre, and BOMB! Prada shows something very similar at their Spring/Summer 2014 collection and my heart sunk, but ah well...It's reputation, right? This illustration is part of my course work for my A-Level Art & Design A2 course work. 

I really hope you like it, and I want to know if you like the trend of having strangers faces on your clothes!
