SNTGD task 1 entry

Hey guys, I'm back to show you my task 1 entry for SNTGD
I got 3rd best photo!

here, well I did 2 versions;

Before you say anything about how unrealistic the dolls shading is blah blah blah, It was supposed to be like a 2D  Andy Warhol screen print thingy.

What do you think?

Couldn't Resist...

Hello all! Its been a long time since I've posted, eh? Long story short, I was on vacation, or the more complicated version of the story was I just moved, and went on a road trip to our new house... but I've finally've settled down, and I'm ready for some new graphics. First of all, I haven't shown you my task 7 of SNTGD (I'm not even sure I've posted my 6th entry either, but oh well), which I finished while on the road. Maria originally won cycle one, but then she gave me the title, ending in both of us sharing 1st place. A bit confusing, but lets move on and see the graphic, shall we?

You can see my final entry with a different background, but I just like the one my medoll is posing on a bit better :)

Anyhow, the main reason I decided to post was a mixture of advertising (guilty pleasure, eh?), and because I've realized I've lacked the blogging aspect of stardoll for a bit now... This next graphic is for my new magazine I've created called HAUTE. I haven't done much proper advertising for it, so a visual was kind of necessary for the readers to get "sucked" into the magazine... hehe. The release is scheduled for this Fall, so I'm aiming for mid September or so. We'll see what will happen. If you'd like to be dirrected to the blog, click HERE. OTHERWISE, take a look below:

I'm actually quite happy with the final results... and oh my gosh! I love the ukulele! I've started to learn myself, however the model in the graphic looks much more experienced than me, and she can even play while balancing on a tree branch! Awesomeness! I did recreate the background from originally a stardoll scenery, since I only had a smaller version of the image and it was blurry when resizing... and oh, I'm going off topic here. The one thing I'm not sure about the graphic is the hair. I was thrilled with it before, but now, I'm not sure.

Task 5 at SNTGD

I've just checked the SNTGD blog, and guess what?

I won the Top Photo of the Week! Happy about that ;)

I must say the other 3 girls have done great work, and I really love all the entries.

Honestly, I find this graphic my best ever - I like how it turned out. I think the bangles are the most attractive part of it.

Any thoughts? ;)

SNTGD Task 5

So looks like the results weren't very good, and I almost got eliminated... best of luck to Khol, your entry was amazing! And my oh my, you've got to see Kasey's entry especially, its amazing! I was devouring every second admiring her newest graphics-- they are suberb! No other word to describe it!

Anyways, now after reading the judge's critique, I can definitely see all the flaws in my graphic, though I'm still happy with it never the less.

What are your thoughts on it? I personally love the shades of blues, and that skirt, oh, if I had it, it'd probably be on my waist all summer long!

SDNTGD Task 4

I was pretty happy with it, for me it's an improvement(I made it before either of the Harper's Bazaar dresses).

I guess I'm lucky to have survived, but lets face it I will be eliminated next ...

Task 3 SNTGD Entry

Yeah, yeah. Another post regarding stardoll's latest graphic design contest, Stardoll's Next Top Graphic Designer. This time, we were assigned to make a summery banner for TTT. I doubted I'd win this task, since I wasn't much of a fan of it... but you know what? The judges loved it. I was incredibly astounded-- regarding the fact that I wasn't pleased with my entry. Nevermind that, I'll reveal it to you anyways :)

Editorialized Banner

     One thing I haven't told you all is that I've been working for Lia (liajm) for her lovely blog she's recently obtained, Editorialized! I'm quite happy with the final results of the banner!

     This was the original size of the banner before resized. I also had a version before the final product, which I will reveal in a moment. First of all, what do you think of the banner? 

     Now that you've seen both versions, which one do you prefer? Is there one thing on one banner that you don't like on the other? Let me know, I truly do love criticism (you know, that's the only way us graphic designers improve ;) ).
