Lime

My exams finished on Friday, so thats been a huuuuge weight off my shoulders! And that's me finished for summer, why hello there 4 month summer holiday^^
Over the weekend I worked on things for TREND, and today I worked on this new header for my blog, The Stardoll Lookbook =) I loved the old one, but it's been there since October and I was really up for a change, and something with a bit of colour!

Please let me know what you think!

  1. Wow, this is very beautiful. The only things that kind of bothers me while looking at it is the way you shaded your doll's face it looks as the head has an outline. Also, concerning the skirt, some edges are not very rounded and look quite choppy.

    It's nice nontheless!

    1. I used a face I had shaded from last September, so it wasn't done today =)

my only comment might be to put the text behind your medoll - it's kind of clashing for some reason. I'm glad that you're back to graphics, I really like seeing your progress ;)

  3. I'm not keen on the overall layout of your blog (but I'm too fussy about that sort of thing), however, I really like the new banner! It's simple but graceful, the text positioning is a bit unfortunate but the font you've chosen has a very vintage/1920s feel that just adds to the overall feel of elegance; the outfit is much the same.

There is some things you could improve - the head is too crisp in comparison to the soft shading and looks rather detached, the darkened area of the skirt looks flat (the texture of the skirt is quite lovely) and there are a couple of things with the overall banner: I'm detecting an unnecessary fade around the outside and, where you've posted it here, it seems to have a sort of neutral beige background but on the blog it's grey. Personally, I find the beige color compliments the skintone and the shirt (though it looks like that's where you took the color from) and gives an overall warmer, more "vintage" effect.

Anyway, I really do like this and you've done a great job!

  4. The signature really ruins this graphic. Maybe if you made it a bit more inconspicuous it would look better.
