Like who is that chick?

Long time, no see! I mean do you even remember I contribute to this blog? I haven't posted in such a long time, you'd say I stopped making graphics. However, I haven't. I've been very busy with finals and preparing the summer issue of Escape Magazine and only yesterday I found some spare time to draw something I could actually post here. I made my friend BestDamnFreak a banner for his new blog

What do you think?

  1. To be honest I don't like it, sorry. I feel it doesn't really have any depth. I just feel it needs a lot more work.

    1. Hmm... Maybe I should make another attempt and try to start shading darker :/

  2. Well, I like it. But you need some darker lines of shading to separate the clumps of shading you have now. Your lighter shading is very nice, of course you need some work on accurate placement, but it's a fantastically shaped graphic. If you went and added about two layers of black at around 12-15 opacity, it'll add that depth. Wherever you see that large about of shading, like the shoulder, neck, inner elbow, and fingercrevices, add a layer or two. But remember it's your graphic, so you need to place judgement yourself and ask yourself how it can be improved:)

    Hope that kinda helped:)

    4. Yeah, it you practice your techniques from graphics on real drawings, it's a great way to practice graphics:)

  3. Amazing! I personally love your way of shading but I do agree that maybe darker shading would add more depth. Nonetheless, I love it!

Partially the problem is the lighting is coming from multiple angles. Notice how you added dark shadows on left of the face, but then if you look at the outermost part of the left arm, it's light. Logically it doesn't look realistic. Also, maybe a more defined collarbone would look good?

Other than that the concept is good, and I like how you added the bunny :) And I love that font in the title! Can you give me the name of the font - I've been like looking for it for years, but never found it :P

  6. The neck shading towards the shorter length of hair is a bit flat and could use a thin layer of dark brown in a lighter opacity. If you layer the brown on top of each layer it adds great depth. Also, the eyes are a bit off. I can't really tell if she's looking upward or to the left. 0_0 Good job anyway though.

    1. I'm laughing so hard about the eyes now cause this is exactly how the model looked in the reference picture lmao. Thank you for the advice :***
