Hello! My name's Helen and I'm 15 y/o. I had the luck to be asked to contribute to TVG and basically this sums up why you're reading this. I don't know what else to write but you can stop by my suite and talk to me if you want to get to know me. Search me under the username _StarHelen_.

I found out about stardoll graphic designing about 1,5 years ago and I immediately thought to myself that I wanted to learn how to make my own graphics. At first I started with Paint, which obviously turned out to be a complete failure. Later I tried gimp and pixlr.com, where I actually made some improvement. I attempted to shade my graphics on my own and started to understand how a graphic should be shaded. Luckily about six months ago I found out that most designers used photoshop so I got it too. And without paying which is the best part (lol). I started looking at artwork of designers, whose work I really admired, trying to figure out how they shaded their graphics. Then I opened photoshop and tried to do the same. It really helped me and now I can even draw hair, which used to be my weakest part to draw, without a reference photo.

3,4 are made on pixlr.com and the rest on photoshop

In the past 2 months I made a lot of graphics so I improved my technique. Although most of the graphics I made are for my magazine, Escape. So I can't show them to you yet. I will sure give you sneak peaks and spoilers though as well as make posts showing my improvement and other irrelevant graphics.
