Anyway, here's my entry for Task 3 of SNTGD. I know, it's not my best work, it looks kinda rushed, everybody hates the dress, blah blah blah ...
I'm kinda disappointed myself, too. I mean, I've worked so hard on this, and I really tried so bad to make it something special, but I somehow couldn't manage ...
I think my skin shading needs a lot of improvement, maybe I should add some more layers?
I also don't like the collarbone, it looks awkward to me. I'm pretty proud of the hair, though. This happens to be the only thing I can do really well these days. What do you think about it??
I guess I won't be able to win SNTGD if I keep doing graphics like this, but let's be honest. It's gonna be Jack or Luisa anyway ...

DeleteI know, I just can't get the collarbones right. My problem is that I really want to do it like the other graphic designers, but I also don't want to copy anyone, so it's kinda hard for me to find the right technique for shading the collarbone.

Don't say that. Of course Jack & Louisa are great designers and so is everyone is the contest. Some might be a bit better but that doesn't mean that you can't reach a higher level :)

I don't think you need to add more layers. Remember, a little goes a long way. I really love the hair and face shading, but the dress(as I told Emma in a previous post) needs to be shaded differently(work from inside to the outside). Your graphics seem to have this really wavy and nonchalant quality about them that I love! So keep up the beautiful work:D

I mean, I understand that the upper part really looks odd, but I'm actually quite satisfied with the skirt (I mean, you don't see much of it, only a tiny bit, but still ;D). It's funny that in some graphics my clothing shading is awesome and in others (like this one) it really sucks.
